2024-2025 DNP Scholarship Application

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Scholarship Application!

Please complete the following scholarship application in order to be considered for School of Nursing scholarships. Below is important information regarding the scholarship awards and process:

• If awarded a scholarship, it will be disbursed equally in both the fall and spring semesters. For example, if you are awarded a $5,000 scholarship, you will receive $2,500 in the fall and $2,500 in the spring. There will not be an award disbursed in the summer semester.
• Scholarships will only be awarded to students who have successfully completed and submitted FAFSA information. If that poses an issue or challenge, please email us at sonstudentinfo@umn.edu.
• If you have been awarded a Bentson scholarship you DO NOT need to complete this application as you are not eligible for any additional School of Nursing scholarships. Bentson recipients are notified of this award by the DNP admissions team. Bentson recipients are not eligible for additional scholarship consideration.
  
  Application deadline is Monday, May 13, 2024 at 8:00am Central.

Once you complete this application, it will be reviewed by the School of Nursing Scholarship Committee and you will be notified of your potential awards in July 2024. Privacy Notice: The University of Minnesota School of Nursing is asking you to provide information which includes private information under state and Federal law.  The University of Minnesota School of Nursing is asking for this private information so that you can be considered for School of Nursing scholarship funding.

This information will be used to evaluate your eligibility for available School of Nursing scholarship funds. The University may also use the information to monitor and evaluate the overall operation of our scholarship programs. The data will only be shared externally as allowed by law.

You are not legally required to provide the information the University of Minnesota School of Nursing is requesting and you may refuse to provide some or all of the information requested.  However, the University of Minnesota School of Nursing may not be able to consider you for some scholarship funds if you do not provide sufficient information.
